TRUFFLE

Bianchetto Truffle

Introduction

"Our exceptional Bianchetto Truffle, scientifically known as Tuber borchii, is a delightful treasure of the truffle world. Predominantly found in the central and northern regions of Italy, particularly in Tuscany and Marche, the Bianchetto Truffle is harvested from late winter to early spring. Although smaller than its more famous counterparts, these truffles typically weigh between 10 to 100 grams and possess a distinctive charm.

The flavor profile of the Bianchetto Truffle is unique, characterized by a strong, garlicky aroma with notes of Parmesan and a hint of spiciness. This truffle's robust flavor makes it a versatile ingredient in the kitchen, enhancing a variety of dishes such as pasta, risotto, and even meats. Chefs appreciate the Bianchetto Truffle for its ability to impart a bold, savory taste that elevates culinary creations. To preserve its distinct flavor, it is best used fresh, finely grated or thinly sliced over warm dishes, allowing its essence to meld beautifully with the food."

  • Unique Flavor: Not to be confused with it big brother the Alba truffle, the Bianchetto truffle can be hunted throughout the Italian peninsula. The young specimens give off a garlicky pleasant smell, while the more mature one will have an intense aroma that tends to cover the taste of the dishes. Taste notes of garlic and hazelnuts.
